Here we have the winner of Group A against the runner up in Group C, and England fans must be thanking their lucky stars because if Denmark had grabbed a winner against Serbia on Tuesday, it would have been England who are facing Germany!
Denmark have done just enough in this tournament, three draws out of three matches so not exactly pulling up trees in the final third.
Germany on the other hand have been excellent, solid in defence, dangerous in attack and even though they only managed a draw against Switzerland in their last match, it could be argued that as they had already qualified for the round of 16 they were able to take their foot of the gas.
Odds and Predictions
The common consensus amongst pundits is that Germany will romp home in this match but we are not so sure.
We think Germany will win but don’t underestimate how well Kasper Hjulmand has got his team playing, especially defensively, and they are also very much a threat up front.
As expected, the bookies have Germany down as favourites at odds of 1.65, Denmark are priced up at 5.50 and the odds for the draw are 3.90.
After careful consideration, we are going for the German win with a scoreline of 2 – 1 of 9.0 for the first of our tips, very decent odds as we don’t think the bookies even expect Denmark to get off the mark.
For our final predictions we are having a dabble in the ‘To score at any time market’
Jamal Musiala has impressed so far in the tournament and we feel that this game presents an ideal opportunity for him to put his stamp on the competition.

Expected Line Ups
We’ve loved watching Toni Kroos in this tournament, the 34 year old has announced that he is retiring from football after Euro24, so this is his final farewell and he looks determined to end his career on a high.
He plays in a way which takes the pressure off Germany’s younger players, controlling midfield in a similar manner to Paul Scholes in his hayday for Man Utd, he really is a delight to watch.
For Denmark, it is no coincidence that their excellent defensive record revolves around their experienced goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel.
Schmeichel is no stranger to English football fans and who can forget that memorable season when Leicester won the Premiership with him in goal, he seems to be getting better with age!
Germany (4-2-3-1) Manuel Neuer; Joshua Kimmich, Antonio Rüdiger, Jonathan Tah, Maximilian Mittelstädt; Robert Andrich, Toni Kroos; Jamal Musiala, Ilkay Gündoğan, Florian Wirtz; Kai Havertz.
Denmark (3-4-3) Kasper Schmeichel; Joachim Andersen, Andreas Christensen, Victor Nelsson; Joakim Maehle, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Christian Eriksen, Rasmus Kristensen; Andreas Skov Olsen, Rasmus Højlund, Jonas Wind.
How Far Will These Teams Progress in the Tournament?
Denmark have done themselves proud in this competition but this is the end of the road for them.
For Germany, nothing less that lifting the trophy will be enough for the host country and their fans but whether they will pull it off is another matter entirely, we will know more when we reach the semi final stage and the crème de la crème of European football are left in the competition.
