Give it up for Fleetwood Town. The League Two side ousted Championship outfit Sheffield United 1-0, profiting from a Rhys Norrington-Davies own goal to become the lowest-ranked team left in the competition. They’re ball number 14 and will fancy a money-spinning trip to one of the big boys—proper cup romance.
As for United, a two-goal lead melted away as Brighton hit back through Charalampos Kostoulas before Pascal Gross levelled and Maxim De Cuyper belted the winner. It leaves more questions for Michael Carrick and a fanbase craving a response. Momentum matters in this competition, and right now the Seagulls have it.
