At the start of the season, the very thought of this fixture would have set the pulses racing of every football fan in England, but as it is, this is a game that doesn’t have a lot riding on it.
By the time that this match is played, Arsenal will either be in the final of the Champions League or knocked out by PSG in the semi-final that is being played on the Wednesday before this match.
They are in second place in the Premier League table, but Manchester City are only three points behind with three games to go, so it could be argued that Arsenal still have something to play for. As for Liverpool, we were extremely disappointed by their performance against Chelsea last Sunday.
The starting lineup for the Reds was strong, but it soon became apparent that most of the Liverpool players had their minds on the beach instead of rewarding their loyal fans with a gritty performance.
Let’s hope that Arne Slot was as disappointed as we were and can get his team firing on all cylinders again, just like they have been doing throughout the season.
Odds and Predictions
It must be difficult for the football betting sites to price up games like this, but we think they have got this one just about right. Liverpool are available at 2.15, the odds on Arsenal are 3.30 and the price for the draw is 3.40.
In our opinion, this will be a cagey match, so our first prediction is a correct score of 1 – 1 at odds of 7.0. Only a small investment is advised if you decide to have a go, mainly because you just don’t know which Liverpool team will turn up.
For the last one of our tips, we are going for Mohamed Salah “To Score at Any Time”. He looked a bit out of sorts against Chelsea last weekend, but we feel that he will be up for it on Sunday.

Comparison and Statistics
Liverpool and Arsenal have played each other head-to-head 234 times in their history. Liverpool have won 89 of these matches, Arsenal have won 81 and 64 matches have ended in a draw.
The last five H2H matches have ended in two draws, one win for Arsenal and two for Liverpool.

Expected Line Ups
The big news coming out of Liverpool this week has been Trent Alexander-Arnold signing for Real Madrid. To say that this news has not gone down well with the Liverpool fans would have to be the understatement of the year, the reason being, if he had signed a new contract with Liverpool they would have been able to command a large fee for the player instead of letting him go on a free transfer.
We have included him in this predicted lineup, but it would not surprise us if he is not included due to the hostile reception he will surely receive from the very angry crowd.
The Arsenal lineup will also depend on how they get on in the semi-final of the Champions League on Wednesday, but we expect Ben White to keep his place and Declan Rice to continue as the midfield general.
Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; K. Tsimikas, J. Quansah, V. van Dijk, T. Alexander-Arnold; W. Endo, Curtis Jones; C. Gakpo, H. Elliott, M. Salah; Diogo Jota.
Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; M. Lewis-Skelly, J. Kiwior, W. Saliba, Ben White; T. Partey, Mikel Merino, Declan Rice; G. Martinelli, L. Trossard, B. Saka.
How Will the Season Pan Out
Liverpool have deservedly lifted the Premier League Trophy, so what a great first season in charge for Arne Slot.
If Arsenal can win the Champions League, it will obviously be a memorable season for them, despite the fact they have yet again fallen short in the Premier League. For the record though, we don’t believe they will get past the Champions League, Semi-Final as PSG looked far superior in the first leg.
