Well, here we are again, the final Premier League game of the 2024/25 season and as usual, it’s been a season full of surprises, ups and downs and lots of drama along the way.

For Nottingham Forest, even though they have fallen away over the last few matches, this is a season that their fans must be more than happy with.

Most pundits, including ourselves, thought that Forest would be fighting relegation this season, but nothing could be further from the truth, they have in fact guaranteed themselves a place in Europe next season and there is still a chance that they could qualify for the Champions League if they beat Chelsea and a couple of other results go their way.

As for Chelsea, even though it is odds-on that they will be playing Champions League football this year, the season has still not lived up to its expectations for them.

Don’t forget that this is a club that always spends millions of pounds on transfers every season, so despite the fact that Man City have not been in the mix this campaign, they have still not challenged the leaders.

The word on the street is that Enzo Maresca’s job could be on the line, which would be a huge disappointment for English football in general, as he is such an exciting young manager.

Odds and Predictions

We think that the football betting sites have got it wrong again when pricing up this match, they have made Chelsea the favourites at 2.10, the odds on Forest are 3.25 and the draw is available at 3.60.

The reason Chelsea are favourites is because they need to win this match to guarantee a place in the Champions League next season, but the bookies seem to be forgetting that Forest need to win this match for the same reason.

The City ground will be rocking and who can forget the scenes after the Forest match against Leicester when the Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis, confronted the manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, in the middle of the pitch, full of passion.

You can bet your bottom dollar that he will have made it perfectly clear that Forest must win this match and we think that is exactly what they will do.

The first one of our predictions is a 2 – 1 win for Forest at the odds of 13.0, we will definitely be having a bet on Forest to win and a small wager on that scoreline.

For the last one of our tips of the season, it has to be a recommendation on Chris Wood, “To Score at Any Time”.

Those odds of 2.60 are very generous in our opinion.

Expected Line Ups

Even though every Forest player has overperformed this year, the two stand-out players for us are Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood.

Chris Wood had been more or less written off by so many commentators, but what a season he has had, a goal-scoring machine.

Morgan Gibbs-White has controlled games from midfield, and he is always a threat to score goals out of nothing. They should both be very proud of themselves.

For Chelsea, as well as Cole Palmer, Marc Cucurella has always impressed us, and he is always a good bet in the “Shots on Target” market at pretty decent odds.

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Matz Sels; Ola Aina, Nikola Milenković, Morato, Neco Williams; Ibrahim Sangaré, Lewis Anderson; Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White, Nicolás Domínguez; Chris Wood.

Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Robert Sánchez; Reece James, Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella; Enzo Fernández, Moisés Caicedo; Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke; Deivid Washington.

How Will the Season Pan Out

We were reading that nearly half of the teams in the Premier League could be playing in Europe next season due to Man Utd and Spurs being in the final of the Europa League and Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup.

Forest and Chelsea will definitely be in Europe, and we can actually see them both qualifying for a place in the Champions League.

What an exciting season the 25/26 campaign will surely turn out to be.
