Looking at the fixture list at the start of the season, not many pundits would have predicted that Manchester City would be in 7th place in the Premier League and fighting to finish in a qualifying position for the Europa League.
What a disappointment this season has been for City, and the same applies to Everton. They haven’t exactly been setting the football world on fire with their performances over the past few seasons, but they have been particularly poor at times during this campaign.
Under Sean Dyche it was looking like they were facing a relegation battle, but with the appointment of David Moyes, they do seem to have turned a corner and are playing with pride and passion once more.
Odds and Predictions
This is one of those common end-of-season matches where at least one of the teams has nothing to play for. Everton could still be relegated, but it is looking increasingly unlikely.
For Man City though, everything is at stake as they strive for that European place, so that in itself offers some excellent betting opportunities.
The best football betting sites have priced City up as the 1.95 favourites. The odds on Everton are 3.60 and the price for the draw is also 3.60. Manchester City appear to have turned a corner in recent weeks, with a noticeable shift in both performance and mentality.
However, their recent match against Manchester United revealed a different outlook this season, content to settle for a draw. This mindset would have been unthinkable for a typically relentless Pep Guardiola side.
We do believe that, City will be too good for Everton in this match, so for the first of our tips, a 0 – 2 scoreline at odds of 11.0 would be worthy of a small investment. For the last one of our predictions, we are going for a recommendation in the “Result/Total Goals” market.
Over 2.5 goals and Manchester City to win at odds of 3.0 is a decent bet and one in which we will be getting involved with ourselves.

Comparison and Statistics
Everton and Manchester City have played each other head-to-head 180 times in their history, with Manchester City winning 73 matches, Everton winning 62, and 45 games ending in a draw.
The last 5 H2H matches have seen three wins for City and two draws.

Expected Line Ups
A standout player for Everton over the past few weeks has been Jake O’Brien, he couldn’t get a look in under Sean Dyche, but he has repaid the trust that has been put in him by David Moyes with some top-class performances.
Kevin De Bruyne has announced that this is his last season for City, so expect some emotional performances from him and the absence of Erling Haaland has opened the door for Omar Marmoush, who is proving to be a real threat up front.
Everton (4-2-3-1): J. Pickford; Jake O’Brien, J. Tarkowski, J. Branthwaite, V. Mykolenko; I. Gueye, James Garner; C. Alcaraz, A. Doucouré, I. Ndiaye; Beto.
Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Matheus Nunes, J. Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, N. O’Reilly; Nico González, I. Gündogan; Savinho, K. De Bruyne, Jeremy Doku; O. Marmoush.
How Will the Season Pan Out
Everon are another example of a club that will be hoping to do some good business during the summer transfer window and pushing forward for their first season in their impressive new stadium.
Man City are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, so their route to a European place next season could be achieved by winning that competition. However, they will also be hoping for a 6th place finish in the Premier League, which is definitely achievable.
